Great news for all the travellers coming to Pakistan.

Starting 2011 Home Department Pakistan  had imposed a permit/NOC for the foreign travellers, travelling to Chitral overland from Peshawar/Islamabad on Dargai, Dir, Lowari pass road but now the ban has been lifted so as the restriction.

In some instances we have heard that the travelers going to Kelash Vallery / Chitral did require a police escort and a registration at the local police station while they were in town.

Now the travelers going to Chitral from  Islamabad / Peshawar do not need an NOC or travel permit. If there are more information about the requirements we will update it here.

Please feel free to share your experience and help other travelers going this route.
